With Erman Akinci, one of the masterminds behind CommonGround.work
When I read the news about Catcha Group going into CoWorking space sometime in November/December last year, I was really excited because I had a feeling that the space will be fantastic.
So when it's finally done and launched in early March 2017, I could not resist to take a tour of the place. And yes, they did not dissappoint! The cool, chic, Nordic vibe with ample space, high ceiling, great decor with just the right finishing touches, makes the space feel very warm and welcoming, simple yet sophisticated. I love the earthy neutral tones everywhere with splashes of bright accent colours. It is a great space for creativity and community building. One can't help but feel the energy buzzing through the space.
Prior to taking the tour, I reached out to Erman and discussed about an idea I have for Instagram and he was so kind and generous enough to allow me to run around the place and take some photos. Follow me on Instagram @mawarni.adam for more of that.
For those of you who are not familiar with coworking, it is (according to Wikipedia) "is a style of work that involves a shared working environment, often an office, and independent activity. Unlike in a typical office environment, those coworking are usually not employed by the same organization." Here, you share the infrastructure, the technology, the access to a full office facility without the typically high cost and headaches of owning/running/managing your own.
Being a digital nomad or an entrepreneur can get lonely sometimes, AND you need to keep the cost of running your business low, so a coworking space like Common Ground is great place to be around other entrepreneurs, other creative minds, to network, to connect, to share ideas and ultimately save on cost of an office in the long run. I personally love it because of the vibe, the energy and the people. So, if you are looking for a cool space to set up camp, to set up your "ground", with the flexibility to scale up or scale down at your own pace, I think this might be the place for it.
